I. JOB SUMMARY :
The purpose of the Water Technician position is to assist the Water Engineer to undertake feasibility studies of rural water projects. She/he maintains inventory of materials of water projects and ensures delivery of materials to sites. Monitors and supervises all activities of the project in order to maintain high standards of workmanship and efficient use of materials and labor.

VI. CONTACTS/KEY RELATIONSHIPS
The Water Technician is expected to establish and maintain good relations with Communities and counterpart government institutions, and other stakeholders. She/he will also work closely with the Construction Supervisor, Water Engineer, Extension Agents and other CARE Field Office staff.
VII. WORKING CONDITIONS AND LEVEL OF TRAVEL REQUIRED.
The Water Technician is based in the field Office. However, she/he is expected to spend 80% of her/his time in rural areas.
