Context
The Article Writing Project aims to produce high-quality and relevant articles each year that are edited and published within an eight-month cycle. Research has shown that SMEs fail when entrepreneurs do not understand the environment in which they operate their businesses, or the psychology and culture of their potential clients. Business failures have obvious negative impacts on entrepreneurs and their families. However, these failures also affect the overall economy and employment rates, which can negatively affect society through high levels of unemployment, reduced government spending on basic services, and instability. AAE publishes articles on its website (https://aaeafrica.org) to provide entrepreneurs with insights on the business environment in Africa. The target audiences for these articles are entrepreneurs, government departments, civil society, and donor agencies. The goal is to help these audiences make informed decisions about how to support business, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit.
