Here’s where you come in:

 

As the Director for Fundraising and Communication for World Vision Netherlands (WVN), you will lead a team of 19 young and motivated professionals through the 2nd phase of our 21-25 growth strategy. You are responsible for the growth of private income (through Child Sponsorship and Child at Rescue and through Churches and Philanthropy) and supported by World Vision positioning and branding in the Netherlands.

 

You do this in close collaboration and coordination with your marketing colleagues worldwide. You know how to use the products and campaigns of World Vision International for their potential in the Dutch market. You ensure that the objectives are achieved. You promote work processes, cooperation, and individual development in your team and across teams.

 

As a Senior Leadership Team (SLT) member, you will lead the team from the Dutch support office, located in our modern office near Amersfoort Central Station, and will report to the CEO/Executive Board of WVN.

 

This key role is critical to the ongoing realisation of growth as defined in the strategic vision to impact 10 million vulnerable children by 2025. Key goals for FY 23 are the growth and development of the team, implementing fundraising strategies to increase private income, build World Vision as a brand in the Dutch market, and Philanthropy.

Requirements include:

  • University degree or equivalent relevant experience in marketing management, International Business studies or related fields.
  • Substantial (senior) management (or executive level) experience in people management and leadership with preferable 5+ years of communications, fundraising and or direct marketing experience requiring similar skills.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in database marketing and/or fundraising.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Flexibility and ability to lead change.
  • The position requires the ability and willingness to travel domestically (within Europe) and internationally (fragile contexts) up to 10-20% of the time.
